Jeannie (Dillard) Womack
Born on November 9, 1933, in Sacramento, Calif., daughter of Walter and Genevieve Dillard, passed away in her home in Elk Grove, Calif., surrounded by family on May 25, 2010, at age 76. Jeannie will be forever be missed by her husband Norman of 58 years. Greatly missed by sister Shirley and husband John Jackson, children David and wife Gail Womack, Phillip and wife Peg Womack, Debra and husband Bob Baker and Pamela and husband Paul Epps. Always remembered by her 12 grandchildren, Felicia, Robert, Rebecca, Heather, Jennifer, Miranda, Mathew, Michael, Amber, Ellen, David and Mike, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Jeannie graduated with her husband Norman from the Elk Grove High School in 1952 started their family and resided at the family dairy at the corner of Dillard and Davis Roads in Wilton, Calif., later moving to Elk Grove. Jeannie was extremely involved in the community and served as Den Mother for the Cub Scouts of America, serviced the Elk Grove Western Festival for 38 years and the Elk Grove Beauty Pageant.

She was honored as Elk Grove Citizen of the Year in 1978, honored with a park dedicated in her name on Castleview Drive in Elk Grove in 1994. Jeannie retired from the State of California, Health and Welfare Data Center after 23 years. Jeannie enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in Bodega Bay, recreation vehicle traveling, and out-fishing her husband. Jeannie still holds the family record with a 46-pound salmon.
